(understated)
About a month ago, I started going out for cupcakes once a week (at least).
The first place that I tried was Cupcake Couture on Atlantic Ave. in Delray.
Visiting CC is an experience unlike any other.
Their cupcakes are nothing short of amazing!
They are beautiful and taste amazingly good (especially the Yves Saint Lemon).
The store is like a beautiful boutique and an ole time candy/drug store combined.
The only thing, that I didn't like about it is that out of the three times I have been there, two times I was rushed and one time it took the two ladies about 10 minutes to get to me (since they were both helping one girl) and all I needed was a spoon. Now I must admit...
I have spent several years in retail and I expect the best service because I always try to provide the best (focusing on being attentive, cheerful, prompt, and informative)!
The only other issue I have with CC is that is about 30 minutes away! Therefore, I can only get an Yves St. Lemon when we go down to Miami or want to make a special cupcake trip.

The second place that I visited was dd's Cupcakes in Jupiter.
It is a little cute little cupcake store near the beach.

But, I'm not going to sugar-coat it...
This was a terrible experience-all around!
dd, herself waited on us.
She was not very friendly, and ran very quickly through the cupcakes she had.
I was too intimidated to even ask her for a water!
I got two cupcakes that were pretty reasonable priced.

The German cupcake and icing was super sweet and
the Mudslide had a ton of toppings and was also too sweet!

Two nights ago, we were out at City Place.
I, of course, had to stop by the cupcake place there.
It's called SugarChef Cupcakes and they have ALL NATURAL CUPCAKES.
The lady that waited on us was super nice and very informative.
She asked if we had ever been there, then proceeded to explain the difference between the classic cupcake and the signature cupcakes
(and the price difference- which I appreciated).
the Dixie Twist Signature: Lemon/Crushed Raspberries/ Meringue
(Tangy Lemon Cupcake Stuffed with NY Style Cheesecake and Crushed Raspberries Topped with a Fluffy Toasted Meringue) and the Islamorada Classic: Key Lime/White Chocolate.

(Florida Key Lime Cupcake with Fresh Squeezed Lime Buttercream). The Key Lime convinced me that white chocolate could actually be good!
I also liked that they had a German sample out to taste (which was delish)!

The only thing I can complain about is that my Dixie T didn't have enough Meringue and my Islamorada had a bit too much icing.
Since Sugarchef is so close,
I will definitely be making a trip back over as soon as I can convince Fabian!

All this talk of cupcakes is making me hungry!
